Appointment of Issuing Officer for the Purpose of issuing Licenses to fish for Trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929.

PURSUANT to the provisions of Regulation 2 (2) of the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby authorize—

Elixer Lodge and Store (W. H. Dustin, Manager), Turangi, to be an issuing officer for the purpose of issuing licenses to fish for trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, vice Elixer Lodge and Store (C. B. Lempriere, Manager), Turangi.

Dated at Wellington, this 23rd day of February, 1939.

Captain W. D. James, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1. Dated 15th February, 1939.

Lieutenant D. Y. Allan, M.B., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Military District. Dated 17th February, 1939.


N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Reverend H. N. Wright, V.D., Chaplain, 2nd Class (Church of England), is transferred to the Reserve List, Class II, Area 10. Dated 13th February, 1939.

The Reverend H. M. Cocks, Chaplain, 4th Class (Church of England), to be Chaplain, 3rd Class. Dated 7th November, 1937.

The Reverend H. G. Goring, Chaplain, 4th Class (Baptist), to be Chaplain, 3rd Class. Dated 16th February, 1939.

The Reverend H. M. Cocks, Chaplain, 3rd Class (Church of England), is transferred to the Reserve List, Class I, Area 10. Dated 22nd October, 1938.

The Reverend R. G. McDowall, Chaplain, 4th Class (Presbyterian), is transferred from Area 11 to Area 1. Dated 13th February, 1939.

Notice under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, as to the Statutory Closing-day in the Waiapu County.

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and in terms of notice in writing duly received by me from the Chairman of the Waiapu County Council, I, William Edward Parry, acting for the Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day for shops in the Waiapu County on and from the 13th day of March, 1939. This notice is in substitution for the notice gazetted on 23rd February, 1939, in so far as that notice appointed Thursday as the statutory closing-day for shops in the said county, such appointment having been made in error.
