Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject
to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
T N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests
Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve
No. 1605, set apart by Proclamation dated the eleventh day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and
gazetted on the fourteenth day of that month, is required
for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the pro-
visions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the
day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State
forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the
Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing 58 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more
or less, being part of Provisional State Forest 1605, situated
in Block I, Hohonu Survey District, and bounded as
follows: Commencing at the south-western corner of
Section 2706, Block I, Hohonu Survey District, and pro-
ceeding along the southern boundary of that section and
the abutment of a road reserve; thence generally in a
southerly direction by right lines bearing 210° 16' for
340 links, 190° 23' 30" for 329-3 links, 178° 37' for 439 links;
thence generally in a westerly and south-westerly direction
along the northern and north-western side of the Maori
Creek Road, 270° 22' for 35-7 links, 280° 7' 20" for 1261-6
links, 247° 54' 32" for 4333-4 links, and 246° 15' for 969-6 links;
thence by a right line bearing 46° 33' 20" for 4066-1 links,
to the point of commencement. As the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XI/7/417A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of
February, 1939.

apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and
gazetted on the second day of October of that year, and parts
of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 31, set apart by
Proclamation dated the fifth day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the eighth day of
that month, are required for settlement purposes; and, in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such lands
shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease
to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to
the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-ROTORUA FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL those areas in Rotorua County containing by admeasure-
ment a total area of 3,953 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or
less, described as follows:-
All that area containing by admeasurement 2,610 acres
2 roods 20 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks II and III,
Horohoro West Survey District, and Blocks V and IX,
Horohoro Survey District, being Provisional State Forest
No. 71 (N.Z. Gazette 1924, page 2244) and part of Provisional
State Forest No. 31 (N.Z. Gazette 1920, page 2109): Bounded,
commencing at a point on the generally north-eastern
boundary of Patetere South No. 1B 3 Block, distant
4961-4 links from Waimaruru Trig Station; thence towards
the east, north-east, and north generally by part of Pro-
visional State Forest No. 31, following right lines 352° 08',
1380-7 links; 349° 50', 667-6 links; 32° 17', 1165-9 links;
359° 23', 1156-7 links; 327° 44', 1785-1 links; 284° 22', 2265-7
links; 359° 01', 1003-3 links; 335° 53', 1024-7 links; 24° 37',
908-1 links; 295° 58', 1925-6 links; 303° 03', 2493-3 links;
328° 51', 3567-4 links; 63° 56', 851-1 links; 16° 50', 960-2 links;
288° 48', 1961-3 links; 301° 46', 1300-6 links; 207° 27',
1478-2 links; 308° 10', 1747-0 links; 256° 49', 3269-8 links;
159° 23', 709-0 links; 161° 24', 936-0 links; 262° 13', 3222-9
links; 266° 58', 1964-7 links; 334° 02', 1013-5 links; 243° 35',
2366-3 links; towards the north-west generally by Patetere
South No. 2 Block; and towards the south-west generally
by Lot 1 on D.P. 20031, and Patetere South No. 1B 3 Block;
be all the aforesaid measurements more or less; save and
excepting an intersecting public road. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. X/92/92A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland
plan, S.O. 28166.)
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1,343 acres
0 roods 30 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks X and
XIII, Horohoro Survey District, being part of Provisional
State Forest No. 31 (N.Z. Gazette 1920, page 2109) bounded,
commencing at a point on the generally north-eastern
boundary of Patctere South No. 1B 3 Block, bearing 118° 52',
and distant 3976-0 links from the corner of a public road;
thence towards the east, north-east, and north-west generally
by part of Provisional State Forest No. 31, following right
lines, 35° 12', 1732-5 links; 13° 56' 30", 2656-7 links; 350° 51',
2317-9 links; 34° 41', 3008-2 links; 319° 38' 30", 5157-6 links;
276° 21', 2443-4 links; 286° 38', 3550-5 links; 238° 27' 30",
1173-5 links; 239° 44', 7424-5 links; 205° 36', 110-3 links;
203° 34', 751-4 links; and towards the south-west generally
by Patetere South No. 1B 3 Block; be all the aforesaid
measurements more or less; save and excepting an inter-
secting public road. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/92/92B, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan,
S.O. 28164.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of

Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the parcels of land described in the Schedule
hereto form portion of Small Grazing-run Numbers 675
and 677, situated in Lindis Survey District, and held under
leases dated the first day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-seven:
And whereas it is desired that the said parcels of land
should be taken for the purposes of a road under paragraph (b)
of section two hundred and thirty of the Land Act, 1924 :
And whereas the said parcels of land do not form part of
any area selected by the lessees for homestead purposes pur-
suant to paragraph (a) of the said section two hundred and
thirty :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
by paragraph (b) of section two hundred and thirty of the
Land Act, 1924, hereinbefore referred to, do hereby take the
parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto for the
purposes of a road.
