The Naval Mobilization Emergency Regulations 1939,
Amendment No. 2.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
October, 1939.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

Pursuant to the Emergency Regulations Act, 1939, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS.

  1. These regulations may be cited as the Naval Mobilization
    Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 2.

  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Naval Defence Act, 1913,
    section 10, subsection (2), enlistment in the Naval Forces may at the
    discretion of the Naval Board (to be exercised either generally or in
    respect of particular cases or particular classes of personnel) be for the
    duration of hostilities between His Majesty and the Government of the
    German Reich and for such period not exceeding six months after the
    official termination of hostilities as the Naval Board may require.
