Rights and Interests in Land in the Borough of Whangarei taken for the Purposes of a Recreation-ground.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the rights-of-way created by Deeds Numbers 125672 and 125673, Auckland Registry, over the land described in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of a recreation-ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Whangarei as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the said rights-of-way are taken: 1 acre 2 roods 6·6 perches. Being portion of Allotments 1 and 2, Whangarei Parish. (D.P. 17386.)

Situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District (Borough of Whangarei) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29799.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103097, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of October, 1939.

Crown Land set apart as Provisional State Forests.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forests.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL those areas in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, containing together 1 acre 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, and being Sections 166 and 169, Block II, Waitahu Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 120/23, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of October, 1939.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette of the fourth day of February of that year, a Domain Board was appointed to have control of the Tui Domain therein described:

And whereas it appears expedient to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforesaid Order in Council, dated the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Rangitoto Survey District, North Auckland Land District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for recreation purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Reserve authorized to be Exchanged.

ALL that area in the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 9·7 perches, more or less, being part Lot 21, D.P. 21287, and being part of Sections 1 and 7, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/980A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 30381.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.

ALL that area in the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 9·7 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 28708, and being part of Section 1, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25/980B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
