WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
THE WAIPA COUNTY LOANS CONVERSION ORDER, 1939.
I, SAMUEL CHRISTIE BAIRD MACKY, Chairman of the Waipa County Council, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection 2 of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the 31st day of August, 1939, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of September, 1939, providing for the issue under Part II of the said Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedule of the Waipa County Loans Conversion Order, 1939, as published in the New Zealand Gazette of 3rd August, 1939, at page 2100, and for the inclusion in the principal of such new securities of all arrears of interest on the existing securities and also of seven-fifteenths of the amount of the last three loans (totalling £2,750) set forth in the First Schedule to the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board Loans Conversion Order, 1939 (No. 2).

Members' Voluntary Winding up.—Final Meeting.
NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at 52 Campbells Buildings, High Street, Auckland, C. l, on Friday, 20th October, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Kurow Water-supply Supplementary Loan, 1939, £200.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waitaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred pounds (£200), authorized to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of providing a high-pressure water-supply for the Township of Kurow and a certain defined area contiguous thereto, the said Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the Township of Kurow, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of five (5) years or until the loan is fully paid off. The said special rate of two-fifths of one penny is in addition to the special rate of 2·29 pence made and levied in respect of the original loan of three thousand pounds.”
I hereby certify the above to be a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waitaki County Council on the 22nd day of September, 1939.

NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school the following land, namely, all that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing two (2) roods, more or less, being part of Pakanae No. 2 Block.
A plan of the land is deposited in the post-office at Opononi and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of William Carswell, Invercargill Savings Bank Building, Don Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, the 25th day of October, 1939, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving from the liquidator of the company an account showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of.
