PURSUANT to regulation 1 (3) of the Tongariro Hatchery Camping-ground Regulations, 1928, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby appoint
A. Kean, Conservator of Fish and Game, Rotorua,
W. Condon, Manager, Government Hatchery, Turangi, and
K. E. Francis, Ranger, Turangi,
to be officers for the purpose of issuing licenses and permits under the above regulations.
All previous appointments of authorized issuing officers as above under the said regulations are hereby revoked.

Colonel F. T. Bowerbank, O.B.E., E.D., M.D., F.R.C.P., Edin., Honorary Physician to the Governor-General, N.Z. Medical Corps, is appointed Director-General of Medical Services (Army and Air Force). Dated 21st September, 1939.
Major W. H. B. Bull, E.D., M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services, Army Headquarters, dated 20th September, 1939, is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services and O.C., N.Z.M.C., Central Military District, dated 21st September, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel I. S. Wilson, M.C., M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointments of Assistant Director of Medical Services and O.C., N.Z.M.C., Central Military District, dated 20th September, 1939, and is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, Army Headquarters, dated 21st September, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel B. S. Finn, D.S.O., N.Z. Dental Corps, is appointed Director of Dental Services (Army and Air Force). Dated 17th September, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. E. Conway, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Director of Mobilization, Army Headquarters. Dated 1st September, 1939.
Major F. N. Nurse, Australian Staff Corps, is granted the local rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 25th September, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel K. L. Stewart, O.B.E., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer, 1st Grade, Southern Military District, Christchurch, and is appointed General Staff Officer, 1st Grade (Training and Staff Duties), Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 15th September, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel L. G. Goss, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed General Staff Officer, 1st Grade (Operations and Intelligence), Army Headquarters. Dated 15th September, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel R. B. Smythe, D.S.O., Reserve of Officers, N.Z. Staff Corps, is transferred to the Active List and is appointed General Staff Officer, 2nd Grade, Southern Military District, Christchurch, with the pay and allowances of a Major with six years’ service. Dated 15th September, 1939.
Major H. D. McHugh, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Staff Officer, No. 1 Area, Auckland, and is appointed Camp Commandant, Ngaraawahia. Dated 14th September, 1939.
Lieutenant and Quartermaster T. A. S. McKenzie, N.Z. Permanent Staff, is appointed General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade, Headquarters, Southern Military District, Christchurch. Dated 8th September, 1939.
Captain A. T. Rawle, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, is appointed to command the 18th Anti-Aircraft Battery. Dated 1st June, 1939.
