Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection
on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 18th September, 1939.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
are open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland,
up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 3rd November, 1939.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, on Wednesday, 8th November, 1939, at 10 o'clock
a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be
examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and
lease fee.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.
Henderson Town District.—Parish of Waikomiti.
Lot 7: Area, 1 rood 1·8 perches. Capital value, £20;
half-yearly rent, 10s.
Lot 8: Area, 1 rood 1·2 perches. Capital value, £30;
half-yearly rent, 15s.
Lot 9: Area, 1 rood 2·3 perches. Capital value, £40;
half-yearly rent, £1.
Subdivisions on D.P. 20253, being part Allotment 90,
Waikomiti Parish.
These sections are situated at the end of Nikau Street, a
metal road off the Great North Road, half a mile from
Henderson Post-office and Railway-station and almost
adjacent to the Henderson School. The sections are
undulating and at present have a fair amount of gorse
scattered over the area. They comprise good building-sites.

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on
Wednesday, 1st November, 1939, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but
if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by
any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown
Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and

This section is situated on the Putaruru-Arapuni Main Road,
about half a mile from the Arapuni dam and three-quarters
of a mile from the post-office. Suitable for a residential-site.

Settlement Land in Marlborough Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Blenheim, 18th September, 1939.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property
is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925;
and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday,
7th November, 1939.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday,
9th November, 1939, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from
managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms,
or from private persons or parents undertaking to give
financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially
should state to what extent they are prepared to do so, and
supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent,
lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Marlborough County.—Wakamarina Survey District.—
Warnock Settlement.
SECTION 4 and part Section 23, Block V : Area, 134 acres
1 rood 2 perches. Capital value, £300; half-yearly rent,
£7 10s.
Weighted with £925 for improvements, comprising five-
roomed dwelling, cow-byrre, open shed, barn, felling, stumping
and grassing, fencing, water-supply, and plantation. This
sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £25,
the balance of £900 may be repaid over a period of twenty-
one years by half-yearly instalments of £35 2s.
The section is situated three miles from the Rai Valley
Post-office, School, Dairy Factory, and forty miles from
Blenheim Railway-station and Saleyards by good metalled
road. Approximately 50 acres fair river flat and light
terrace and 80 acres easy to steep hill of poor quality. All
felled bush land, 20-30 acres stumped and in fair pasture,
balance in fair to poor pasture mostly native. Soil is of
good to poor loam resting on clay and rock formation;
moderately well watered by the Rai River and springs.
Chiefly suitable for dairying.

under the Land Act, 1924, and the Education Reserves
Act, 1928; and applications will be received at the District
Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on
Tuesday, 7th November, 1939.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
