Member of Mangaia Island Council appointed.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and to an Order in Council made thereunder on the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, His Excellency the Governor-General doth hereby appoint
Akaite, of Ivirua,
to be a member of the Island Council of Mangaia during his pleasure as from the date hereof, in lieu of Makiuana, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 14th day of September, 1939.

Appointing a Member of the Tauranga Harbour Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection three of section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a non-elective member of a harbour board, the Governor-General shall, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place :
And whereas Patrick McKenna, a non-elective member of the Tauranga Harbour Board, has died, and an extraordinary vacancy in the membership of the Board has been created, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person in his place :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority doth hereby appoint
Peter Sharpham Densem
to be a member of the Tauranga Harbour Board in the place of the said Patrick McKenna, deceased.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 19th day of September, 1939.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
