Land taken for the Purposes of a Public School in the Borough
of Cambridge.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every
other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this
behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the purposes of a public school and shall
vest in the Education Board of the District of Auckland as
from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-nine.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:-

1 0 0 Allotment 283, Town of Cambridge East;
coloured red.
8 0 9-1 Allotments 278, 279, 280, 281, 282, 284,
447, and 448, Town of Cambridge East;
coloured blue.
1 0 0 Allotment 446, Town of Cambridge East;
coloured red.

Situated in Block IX, Cambridge Survey District (Borough
of Cambridge), (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30058.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103181,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of
September, 1939.

Authorizing the Exchange of Part of a Reserve in Town of
Alexandra, Otago Land District, for other Land.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of
September, 1939.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule
hereto forms part of a reserve duly set apart for
municipal purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the
said land should be exchanged for the land described in
the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General
deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of
the reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land
described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged
for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Part of Reserve authorized to be exchanged.
SECTIONS 3 and 4, Block XIV, Town of Alexandra: Area,
1 rood, more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
ALL that area containing 24·97 perches, more or less, being
part Section 43 and part Section 44, Block II, Town of
Alexandra: Bounded, towards the north-east by Crookhaven
Street, 83·6 links; towards the south-east by other part of
Section 43, 186·7 links; towards the south-west by Sections
4 and 3, 83·6 links; and towards the north-west by other
part of Section 44, 186·7 links.

Also all that area containing 3 roods, more or less, being
Allotments 3, 4, and 5, D.P. 5160, being subdivision of part
Section 8, Block XXXVII, Town of Alexandra: Bounded,
towards the south-east by Chicago Street, 300 links; and
towards the south-west, north-west, and north-east by other
part of said Section 8, 250·02 links, 300 links, and 250·02
links, respectively.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: As the same
are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 41888A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of Reserves in Waitaki Survey District,
Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day
of September, 1939.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto
are reserves duly set apart for gravel-pits: And
whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation
over such lands shall be changed to reserves for plantation
purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth
hereby declare that the purpose of the reserves described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from reserves for
gravel-pits to reserves for plantation purposes.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

RESERVE 2910, Block XI, Waitaki Survey District: Area,
2 acres, more or less.

Reserve 2911, Block XI, Waitaki Survey District: Area,
2 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Vesting Portion of a Reserve in the Alexandra Borough Council.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of
September, 1939.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for municipal
purposes: And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-
General it is expedient to vest the said portion of the reserve
in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of
Alexandra:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and
after the day of the date hereof, the portion of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the
Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of
Alexandra, in trust, for municipal purposes.

SECTION 2, Block XIV, Town of Alexandra: Area, 20 perches,
more or less.
