Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land:—

0 0 9·93 Part of R.S. 79.

Situated in the City of Christchurch. (S.O. 2445, red.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4627, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of February, 1939.

Additional Land at Spring Creek taken for the Purposes of the Picton—Hurunui Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Picton—Hurunui Railway to take further land at Spring Creek in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 roods 25·6 perches. Part of Allotment 28, D.P. 485, of Section 50, Wairau West, Block XI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, Marlborough County. (S.O. R 508/40.)

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5543, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of February, 1939.
