β¨ Export Regulations

Except with the permission of the Collector, entry for export of
any goods for the export of which permission is granted shall, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 69 of the Customs
Act, 1913, or in any other Act, be made at the Customhouse at the port
of loading prior to shipment of the goods on the exporting vessel. -
The Minister may delegate to the Comptroller of Customs
or to a Collector of Customs authority to entertain any application
for permission to export goods and to grant or withhold any permission
that the Minister is empowered by these regulations to grant or with-
hold, and any permission given by the Comptroller or by a Collector,
in the name of the Minister or in his own name, and the conditions
thereof, shall for the purposes of these regulations be as effective as if
given by the Minister in person. -
(a) These regulations shall apply with respect to the export of
all goods, notwithstanding that a license or other authority for the
export of such goods may be in force under the Customs Acts or any
other Act or under any regulations other than these regulations.
(b) The granting of permission to export any goods under these
regulations shall not absolve any person from the obligation to comply
with the requirements of any Act or of any other regulations with
respect to the export of such goods. -
These regulations shall come into force on the day following
notification in the Gazette of the making thereof.
