Survey District; thence along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of said Section 193 to the north-eastern corner; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 14, 15, and 22, Block XII, Puketoi Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 19 and 221, Block XII, Puketoi Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 16; thence along the southern and western boundaries of Section 16, Block XII, and the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, Puketoi Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the Waihoki Road to the northern boundary-line of Section 23, (E.R.) Block IX, Aohanga Survey District; thence along the northern boundary-line of that section to the westernmost corner of Section 18, Block V, Aohanga Survey District; thence by the western and southern boundaries of that section to the Waiowaka Road; thence along the western side of Waiowaka Road to Spur Road; thence along the northern and eastern side of Spur Road to the road forming the northern boundary of Sections 7 and 6, Block XI, Aohanga Survey District; thence by that road and the north-eastern boundary of said Section 6 to its easternmost corner; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 5, Block XI, Aohanga Survey District, to the Waingongora Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Aohanga River; and thence by the Aohanga River to the sea, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

Districts reconstituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
N pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor-General by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Mauriceville, Carterton, Masterton, and Castlepoint districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Masterton, Carterton, and Castlepoint districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908:
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

A PROCLAMATION.
N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section one of the Lower Clutha River Improvement Act, 1938, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby fix Tuesday, the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, as the date on which the Lower Clutha River Improvement Act, 1938, shall come into force.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of December, 1938.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 0 roods 29Β·7 perches.
Being part Lot 5, D.P. 1390, being part Rural Section 1630. Situated in Block XIV, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 101620, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of December, 1938.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of an automatic-telephone exchange; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 rood 0-1 perches.
Being parts Lots 6 and 7, D.P. 7673, being portions of Allotments 81 and 82, Takapuna Parish.
Situated in Block III, Rangitoto Survey District (Borough of Takapuna), (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29815).
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 100947, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
