Fixing Sittings of the Court of Appeal.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as are from time to time appointed by the Governor-General in Council and notified in the Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively, and that such appointment shall determine the Division by which such sittings shall be held :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint and declare that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, and doth hereby determine that such sittings shall be held by the respective Divisions of the said Court as are shown hereunder :—

Monday, the thirteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine : By the Second Division of the said Court.

Monday, the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine : By the First Division of the said Court.

Monday, the eleventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine : By the Second Division of the said Court.

Appointment of Member of Medical Council under Medical Practitioners Act, 1914.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Medical Practitioners Amendment Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint

Thomas William James Johnson, M.B., Ch.B., Univ. N.Z., 1909; M.R.C.S., M.R.C.P., 1911; M.D., Univ. N.Z., 1912, to be a member of the Medical Council under the aforesaid Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of November, 1938.
