ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1938.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Native land described in the Schedule hereto as a Native reservation for the common use of the owners thereof as a site for a meeting-house and a church.

The Town-planning Act, 1926.—Preparation of Scheme by Ashburton County Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1938.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Ashburton County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Ashburton County:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto commonly known as the Township of Methven—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Ashburton County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, in the Spaxton Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 196, D.P. 331, and proceeding thence along the northern boundaries of Lots 196, 184, 183, 182, and 181, all on D.P. 331, to a public road, northerly along that road, and crossing Racecourse Avenue to the south-western corner of Lot 26, D.P. 6764, along the western boundary of said Lot 26 for a distance of 250 links; thence easterly along a right line parallel to and distant 250 links from the northern side of Racecourse Avenue to the eastern side of West Coast Road; thence southerly along that side of road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 1004; thence to and along that boundary, the eastern boundary of the said part Lot 1, the eastern boundary of Section R. 2612 and its production to the Chertsey Road, across that road to the easternmost corner of part Lot 4, D.P. 1229, along the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot to and across the Methven-Rakaia Railway Reserve, south-easterly along that reserve to the north-eastern corner of part Lot 13, D.P. 3835, along the eastern and southern boundaries of the last-mentioned lot, the southern boundaries of Lots 12, 11, 10, 9, and 8, all on D.P. 3835, across West Coast Road, and northerly along the western side of that road to the southern boundary of part Lot 4, D.P. 1078; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of the last-mentioned lot and Lot 2, D.P. 1078, to the south-western corner thereof; thence north-westerly along a right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. 881; thence northerly along the western boundary of that lot, across the Alford Forest Road and along the western boundary of Lot 196, D.P. 6764, to the point of commencement.

WHEREAS the Ashburton County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Ashburton County:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto commonly known as the Township of Allenton—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Ashburton County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, in the Ashburton Survey District, commencing at the north-western corner of the Borough of Ashburton on the left bank of the north branch of the Ashburton River, and bounded by a line running northerly along the left bank thereof to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 66, D.P. 116; thence easterly to and along that boundary and the production thereof to a point distant 250 links from the eastern side of the Alford Forest Road; thence by right lines parallel to and distant 250 links from the eastern side of that road, the eastern side of Winters Road, the northern side of Farm Road, the eastern side of Racecourse Road and the production of the last-mentioned line to the borough boundary; thence westerly generally along the boundary of the Ashburton Borough to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being the Town of South Rakaia, in the Rakaia Survey District, bounded on the south by the South Town Belt, on the west by the West Town Belt, on the north by Rakaia Terrace, and on the east by the Main South Road from the north-eastern corner of Town Section 572 to the south-eastern corner of Reserve 1674.
