Suspension of Obligation of Reserve Bank to give Sterling in exchange for Reserve Bank notes.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 16 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Amendment Act, 1936, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Finance, do hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Sterling Exchange Suspension Notice, 1938.

I do hereby suspend, subject to the condition set out in the next succeeding clause hereof, the duty imposed on the Reserve Bank by subsection (1) of section 16 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, 1933.

The suspension hereby effected shall take effect on and from the 7th day of December, 1938.
Dated at Wellington the 6th day of December, 1938.
