  2. Except as otherwise provided, goods booked between Christchurch and Kaikoura will be charged at the following rates :—

Christchurch and vice versa Kaikoura Classes A, B, C, D, E, and F‡, excepting explosives, at owner's risk 41s. 10d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 36 tons per four-weekly period. Includes collection and delivery at Christchurch and Kaikoura within the areas as determined by the Department in that behalf. Owners to load and unload. Participation in this rate is subject to the conclusion of a special agreement with the Department.
  1. Goods booked to and from Kaikoura will be charged at the following rates:—
    FROM OR TO CHRISTCHURCH—PAPANUI—HORNBY INCLUSIVE.

Class K (rate and a half) 10s. 10d. per 100 sup. ft.
Class N 30s. 0d. per ton.
Class P 34s. 10d. per ton.
Class Q 31s. 3d. per ton.
Class R 20s 11d. per ton.
Cement 35s. 10d. per ton.
Coal, imported 32s. 11d. per ton.
Coal, New Zealand anthracite or bituminous 28s. 10d. per ton.
Artificial manures : minimum, 6 tons per consignment (Reg. 86, General Scale of Charges) 26s. 3d. per ton.
Artificial manures : minimum, 1 ton per consignment (Reg. 86, General Scale of Charges) 28s. 4d. per ton.
Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts as defined in Reg. 85, paragraph 1, General Scale of Charges 42s. 10d. per ton.

The charges on small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, D, and E will be as follows :—
