CROWN LANDS NOTICE.

Pastoral Runs in Otago Land District for License.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 9th November, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral runs are open for license in terms of Part VI of the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 13th December, 1938.

Applicants are required to appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Thursday, 15th December, 1938, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, license fee, and amount of improvement loading.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—PASTORAL RUNS.
National-endowment Land.

RUN 678, Lindis Survey District: Area, 9,034 acres. Annual rental, £250.
Weighting for improvements, £1,421.

Run 680, Lindis Survey District: Area, 13,423 acres. Annual rental, £170.
Weighting for improvements, £490.

Run 682, Kakanui Survey District: Area, 10,600 acres. Annual rental, £310.
Weighting for improvements, £881 0s. 9d.

Run 203B, Swinburn Survey District: Area, 4,100 acres (approximately). Annual rental, £150.
Weighting for improvements, £1,024 2s. 3d.

The term of the license in each case is twenty-one years and the date of possession the 1st March, 1939. The amount of the weighting for improvements is payable in cash.

Runs 678 and 680 are situated thirty miles from Cromwell by good gravel road; Run 682 is situated approximately eighteen miles from Duntroon Railway-station and eight miles from Livingstone School and Post-office by gravel road to within two miles, balance being formed clay road; Run 203B is situated approximately eight miles from Kokonga Railway-station and School and four miles from Rural Post-box at Kyeburn. These runs are suitable for sheep.

Sale posters giving details of the runs and the terms and conditions of leasing are available from the undersigned or from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin.
