Authorizing Michael Harte, of Rai Valley, Storekeeper, to
ereet certain Electric Lines in Portion of the County of
Marlborough.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of
February, 1938.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Michael
Harte, of Rai Valley, Storekeeper (hereinafter referred to as
“the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the
electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following
conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.

The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating
purposes.

  1. LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, the
Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations
made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof
or in substitution therefor.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the
Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated in
and shall form part of this license except in so far as the
same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (j)
of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935.

  1. GENERATING VOLTAGE.

Electrical energy shall be generated and transmitted at
a pressure of 32 volts direct current between terminals.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

Unless sooner lawfully determined, this license shall
continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1958, or until
electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or
other general public source, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for
the transmission of electricity leading from the licensee’s
business premises situated on part Section 62 to premises on
Section 58, also occupied by the licensee, all being situated in
Block II, Heringa Survey District, in the Land District of
Marlborough, the same being more particularly delineated
by means of black lines on plan P.W.D. 64591, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Authorizing Martin Oldbury and Company to erect Electric
Lines in Portion of the Town District of Kawhia.

February, 1938.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Martin Ward
Oldbury and Edith Lucy Oldbury, of Kawhia, General
Storekeepers, trading in partnership under the firm name
of Martin Oldbury and Company (hereinafter referred to
as “the licensees”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and
use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on
the following conditions.

The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating
purposes.

The voltage of transmission over the lines hereby authorized
shall be approximately 60 volts direct current.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

Unless sooner determined, this license shall continue in
force until the 31st day of March, 1958, or until electrical
energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other
general public source, whichever is the earlier.

  1. CHARGES ON SALE.

The charges for electrical supply shall not exceed 1s. 3d.
per unit, reducible to 1s. per unit if paid within fourteen
days after rendering of account for same.

SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for
the transmission of electricity leading from the licensees’
premises situated on Section D.P. 10284, Lot 3 of Kawhia,
part P. 3 and Z, across a roadway in a north-easterly direction
for a distance of thirty-six feet to a pole on that roadway,
thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of
approximately seventy-two feet to the premises of the
Kawhia County Council situated on reclaimed land F 1a J,
Lot 2, of Kawhia P. 3 and Z, all situated in Block VI, Kawhia
North Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland;
the said lines being more particularly delineated by means
of red lines on plan P.W.D. 96634, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Public Works.
