Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1931.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1931, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Warrant in Terms of the Traffic Regulations, 1936, approving of Appliances for Use on Motor-vehicles.

IN terms of Regulation 10 of the Traffic Regulations, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the appliances described in the Schedule hereto for use on or in connection with a motor-vehicle additional to the lamps required by Regulation 7 of the said regulations, provided that and so long as the said appliance is identical in design, construction, make, and effect with the sample thereof deposited in the office of the Transport Department, Wellington.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name) or directed to the address mentioned in the Schedule hereunder without a name shall be registered or forwarded by the post-office of New Zealand.

Position : Lat., 45° 46'·8 S. ; long., 170° 43' E. (approx.), 236° about 5 cables from Taiaroa Head light.

Abridged description : F.R.

Details : The single pile beacon is being replaced by a red four-pile beacon structure from which a fixed red light will be exhibited on the 19th September.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921—22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Robert Stewart Cillies of the Public Trust Office, Timaru, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Timaru, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous warrants appointing any Deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

Notice as to the making of By-laws under the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Amendment Act, 1933.—(Notice No. Ag. 3598.)

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Amendment Act, 1933, as amended by section 4 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, of the making by the societies named in the Schedule hereto and of the approval by the Governor-General of by-laws under the above-entitled Act controlling the admission of persons to any place used or occupied by the said societies for any meetings, show, exhibition, competition, or entertainment held by each such society. The by-laws made by the Feilding Industrial, Agricultural, and Pastoral Association on the 25th day of October, 1935, and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of November, 1935, at page 3383, are substantially the same as the by-laws made by the said societies to which this notice relates.
