IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter
of MARY ROSE, LIMITED (in Liquidation).
IN pursuance of section 241 of the above Act a meeting of
members and creditors of the above company will be
held at the offices of Wilkinson and Wilkinson, situate at
No. 135 Hereford Street, Christchurch, at respectively 2 p.m.
(members meeting) and 2.30 p.m. (creditors meeting), on
Tuesday, the 13th day of September, 1938, for the purpose
of having an account laid before such meetings showing how
the winding up of the company has been conducted and the
property of the company has been disposed of.

LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
Notice of Extraordinary Resolution.
In the matter of the Industrial and Provident Societies
Act, 1908, and in the matter of the DANNEVIRKE DISTRICT
Co-operative Society, LIMITED.
AT an extraordinary meeting of the Dannevirke District
Co-operative Society, Limited, held at Dannevirke
on the 8th August, 1938, it was resolved as follows :—
“ In view of the financial position of the society, it is resolved
that the society cannot by reason of its liabilities continue
its business and that it is advisable that the society be wound
up.
“ That FRANK GATLEY, of Rangitikei Street, Palmerston
North, be appointed liquidator.”
At a meeting of creditors of the society held at Dannevirke
on 9th day of August, 1938, the above resolutions were con-
sidered and the appointment of the said Frank Gatley as
liquidator was confirmed.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 232 (2) of the
Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of
members of the above-named company will be held at 152
Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 7th day of
September, 1938, at 10.30 in the forenoon, for the purpose
of having an account laid before the meeting showing the
manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the
property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any
explanation that may be given by the liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company held on the
19th day of August, 1938, the following special resolution
(which had previously been approved of at a meeting of
creditors) was duly passed :—
“ That as it is proved to the satisfaction of the company
that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business
and that it is advisable to wind up, it is hereby resolved
that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the
above-named company (in liquidation) will be held
pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, at
7.30 p.m. on Thursday, the 8th day of September, 1938,
at the company's registered office, 109–111 Dixon Street,
Wellington, for the purpose of laying before it final accounts
showing how the winding up of the company has been con-
ducted and the property of the company disposed of.

CHANGE OF SURNAME.
HERMANN JACOBS, heretofore called by the names
of HERMANN Jacobowitz, hereby give public notice that
on the 23rd day of August, 1938, I formally assumed and
adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatso-
ever to use and subscribe the names of Hermann Jacobs
instead of the said names of Hermann Jacobowitz, and I
further give notice that by a deed-poll dated the 23rd day
of August, 1938, duly executed and attested and enrolled in
the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Wellington, I formally
declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended
henceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe
the names of Hermann Jacobs instead of Hermann Jacobo-
witz and so as to be at all times hereafter called, known, and
described by the names of Hermann Jacobs exclusively.

increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or
part thereof ; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes : For the
first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding
32 pages, 9d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent
16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding
publication.
