ESTATE OF JAMES DERRY.
In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District.—In the matter of the Administration Act, 1908, and its amendments; and in the matter of the Estate of JAMES DERRY, late of Ashley Clinton, Storekeeper, now deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that a second and final dividend of 11¾d. in the pound will be available to such creditors of this estate as have duly proved their claims at the Public Trust Office, Wai-pukurau, at any time during the ordinary hours of business on and after the 19th day of August, 1938.

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the formation of a road—for which purpose the following lands require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23 (that is to say)—
(a) All that piece or parcel of land containing 3 roods 36 perches (more or less), being part of Lot 2 of Allotment 7, Rewi Settlement, being part of the land included in Volume 360, folio 97, Auckland Registry.
(b) Five perches (more or less), being portion of the bed of the Tauhei Stream adjoining Lot 2 of Allotment 7, Rewi Settlement.
A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Hamilton East.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, to the Waikato County Council, within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waimea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-one thousand pounds (£21,000) authorized to be raised by the Waimea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of a water reservoir and the reticulation of water through Stoke Water-supply Special-rating Area, the said Waimea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property within the Stoke Water-supply Special-rating Area, and that such rate should be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 20th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waimea County Council held on the 12th day of August, 1938.

PURSUANT to sections 240 and 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a meeting of creditors in the above matter will be held at the office of the liquidator, Queen Street, Hastings, on the 14th day of September, 1938, at three o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving the liquidator’s account of the liquidation.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Acts amending the same.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, a body corporate, constituted under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, proposes to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the following public work—that is to say, for the purposes of a pumping-station:
And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk of Christchurch aforesaid, where it lies open for public inspection daily (without fee) during all reasonable hours:
And that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objections, and send such writing, within forty days from the 16th day of August, 1938 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), addressed to the Town Clerk, Christchurch.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land situated in the City of Christchurch containing by admeasurement 1 rood 7·4 perches, be the same a little more or less, being part of Rural Section 325, and being that part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 450, folio 131 (Canterbury Land Registry Office), more particularly shown as Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, and therein numbered S.P. 7025.

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
Notice under the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school the following land—namely, all that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing 36 perches, more or less, being part of the eastern portion of Allotment 125, Parish of Oruawharo.
A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Wellsford and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland.
