IN LIQUIDATION.

Notice of Meeting of Creditors.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of Bewley’s Limited (in liquidation), will be held pursuant to sections 234 and 300 (7) of the Companies Act, 1933, at the offices of A. E. Palmer, Public Accountant, Queen Street, Hastings, on Tuesday, the 9th day of August, 1938, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with lists of creditors and the estimated amounts of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors may confirm the appointment as liquidator of the person nominated by the company or may pursuant to section 235 nominate some other person to be liquidator and generally pass such resolutions as may be considered advisable.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT the Rodney County Council hereby resolves by way of special order that pursuant to section 24 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1925, and as authorized by a poll of ratepayers taken on the 11th day of May, 1938, the Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a bridge rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all properties within the County of Rodney for the purpose of providing funds for the reconstruction of bridges on roads under the jurisdiction of the Rodney County Council. Such bridge rate shall be known as the Bridge Rate No. 2, and the proceeds of the said rate shall form the Rodney County Bridge Rate Fund Account No. 2. The cost of raising the rate shall be charged against the County Fund, and no part of such bridge fund shall be used for any purpose other than the reconstruction of bridges or the payment of the interest and other charges on loans raised pursuant to section 25 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926. Such bridge rate shall be an annually recurring rate and shall be payable on the first day of August in each and every year and during the currency of all or any loans raised from time to time pursuant to section 25 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1925, or until all the said loans are fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 15th day of June, 1938, and confirmed on the 21st day of July, 1938.
