IN accordance with the provision of the Education Act, 1914, it is hereby publicly notified that the following persons have been duly elected as members of the Education Board of the District of Taranaki:—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned ALLAN FRASER BRUCE and CECIL DAYLE GUNN carrying on business as warehousemen and manufacturers representatives under the style or firm of “Bruce Gunn and Co.” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 18th day of July, 1938. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Allan Fraser Bruce and the said Cecil Dayle Gunn, and all creditors and others having claims against the said firm are hereby requested to send particulars thereof in writing to Mr. W. A. Young, Public Accountant, Stuart Street, Dunedin, on or before the 1st day of August, 1938.

The said Allan Fraser Bruce will continue to carry on business on his account as warehouseman and manufacturers representative at his rooms situated at Allbell Chambers, 154 Stuart Street, Dunedin, and the said Cecil Dayle Gunn will continue to carry on business on his own account as warehouseman and manufacturers representative at his rooms situated at 122 Stuart Street, Dunedin.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL.

SEWERAGE LOAN OF £2,000, 1937.

Striking of Rate.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on the Palmerston North City Council Sewerage Loan of £2,000, 1937, authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of enabling the said Council to relay the main sewer in College Street West, Botanical Road, and Ferguson Street, and to purchase all materials required in connection therewith, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one fifty-fifth of a penny (1/55d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Palmerston North, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Carried this 18th day of July, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 26 of the Bank of New Zealand Act, 1926, that by reason of the death of Mr. William Watson, one of the Directors of the Bank of New Zealand elected by the proprietors, a casual vacancy has arisen.

Candidates for the office so vacated must give notice of candidature to the Board in writing to be left at the Banking House of the Bank in Wellington not later than sixty days after the publication of this notice.

(Eng.), December, 1935, now residing in Auckland, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 18th August next to have my name placed in the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Auckland.
