Declaring Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Areas.
P URSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations,
1938, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Marketing, being
satisfied that sufficient majorities of the producers in the
respective areas of land defined in the Schedule hereto are
desirous that such areas should be declared to be pool areas
for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare the
areas of land defined as aforesaid to be Bobby Calf Marketing
Pool Areas for the purposes of the said regulations under the
respective names set out in the said Schedule before the
description of each area, and I do hereby further declare
that this notice shall take effect on the 21st day of July,
1938.
SCHEDULE.
FIRST PART.
Hauraki Plains Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.
ALL that area of land lying entirely within the boundary of
the Hauraki Plains County and bounded by a line com-
mencing at the mouth of the Waiwarawara Stream on the
Firth of Thames and from this point taking a straight line
across country in the south-westerly direction to meet the
boundary-line between the Waikato and Hauraki Plains
Counties; thence following this boundary-line in a southern
and south-easterly direction to the northern corner of Section
5 of the Waitakaruru Settlement; thence taking a straight
line across country in a south-easterly direction to the north-
western corner of Section 22; thence in a direct line across
country in an easterly direction to the western corner of
Block No. 5B, Waitakaruru Settlement; thence from this
point taking a direct line across country in a south-easterly
direction to meet the Patetonga-Ngatea Road at a point
four miles and a half from Kaihere Post-office immediately
south of the farm occupied by Stone; thence from this point,
taking a straight line across country in an easterly direction
to meet Wari’s Road at a point immediately south of the
property occupied by W. Fisher; thence along Wari’s Road
in a northerly direction to the junction of this road with
Pekapeka Road taking in all farms with direct access on the
eastern side; thence along the Pekapeka Road in an easterly
direction to meet the western bank of the Waihou River,
taking in all farms which have direct access to this road on
both sides; thence following the bank of the river down-
stream to the southern boundary-line of the Mangonui
Block; thence following this boundary-line in a westerly
direction; and thence in a northerly direction to the south-
eastern boundary-line of Sections Nos. 1 and 2 in the
Kurinui Block; thence following this boundary-line back
to the western bank of the Waihou River; thence from
this point following the county boundary-line down-stream
to the mouth of the river; thence along the foreshore of the
Firth of Thames to the mouth of the Waiwarawara Stream,
the original point of commencement.
SECOND PART.
Paeroa Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.
All that area of land lying entirely within the County of
Ohinemuri and bounded by a line commencing at a point
on the southern bank of the Waihou River at Raumanga
Point; thence following the river bank up-stream to the
mouth of the Waitoki Stream; thence from this point
taking a straight line across country in a north-easterly
direction to the Town of Karangahake; thence from this
point in a straight line across country in a northerly direction
to meet the county boundary at the north-eastern corner of
A. Macaskill’s Grant; thence from this point taking a
straight line across country in a westerly direction to again
meet the southern bank of the Waihou River at the original
point of commencement.
THIRD PART.
Shannon Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.
All that area of land lying within the Tokomaru Riding of
the Horowhenua County, together with that southern portion
of the Manawatu County, bounded by a line commencing
at the mouth of the Manawatu River; thence following the
Manawatu River in a north-easterly direction to the boundary
of Sections Nos. 5 and 4, Hapu-Himitangi Block; thence
westward to Lilly’s Farm on No. 1 Main Highway; thence
in a direct line westward to Pingau and the sea-coast and
then south to the commencing point at the mouth of the
Manawatu River, but excluding the property of the Feilding
Investment Company on the banks of the Manawatu River.
