Classification of Road in Waitotara County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the Waitotara County Council’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Waitotara County.

SCHEDULE.

WAITOTARA COUNTY.

ROAD classified in Class Four.—Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 5 tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which when carrying a load has an axle weight of not more than 3 tons on any one axle.

Ahu Ahu Road.

Excluding Roads from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section all roads or other places to which the public have access in the Town District of Patutahi.

Excluding Streets and Roads from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude the streets and roads described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Inglewood Borough—
New Plymouth – Kaimata Main Highway No. 37 (all that portion commencing at a point five chains measured along the road in a westerly direction from its junction with Konini Street and terminating at the western boundary of Inglewood Borough, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 30 chains).

Situated within Taihape Borough—
Te Kuiti – Bulls via Taumarunui Main Highway No. 23 (all that portion commencing at a point 5 chains measured along the road in a south-westerly direction from its junction with Weka Street and terminating at the southern boundary of Taihape Borough, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 1 mile 10 chains).

Agreement for Grant of Right-of-way in favour of Dustins Limited, over Land in the City of Wanganui taken for the Purposes of a Post-office, assented to.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 16th day of August, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82 of the 22nd day of December, 1937, at page 2915, all that piece of land containing 2·13 perches, being part Section 178, Town of Wanganui, Block V, Westmere Survey District, was taken for the purposes of a post-office :

And whereas Dustins Limited, being a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, and having its registered office at Wanganui, was entitled to compensation for its freehold interest in the said area of 2·13 perches :

And whereas it has been agreed to grant to the said Dustins Limited, a right-of-way over the said area of 2·13 perches as part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid, and also to grant to it for an estate in fee simple the piece of land containing 0·57 perches, being part Lot 1, D.P. 7766, and being part Section 175, Town of Wanganui (as more particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 96342, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green), in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation :

And whereas the said Dustins Limited, has agreed to accept such grants in satisfaction of the said compensation :

Now, therefore, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Public Works, do hereby give notice in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that I assent to the above agreement.

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931.

IN terms of regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.
