Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions in respect to applications for licenses have been made.

Manufacture of Cement.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) Featherstone, Adamson, and Francis, of Invercargill, on behalf of a proposed company.
(2) B. Williams and J. E. B. and W. H. Fox, of Cape Foulwind,
for licenses to manufacture cement in New Zealand.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than 23rd June, 1938.

Taking of Fish.
I HEREBY give notice that an application has been received from E. R. Lomas for a license to take fish at Thames by means of a 30 ft. 50 h.p. launch, using set-nets and hand-lines, and supplying the Thames market.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 20th June, 1938.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) C. Sims, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his premises in Church Street, Timaru.
(2) A. A. Fantham and Co., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from their premises in Bannister Street, Masterton.
(3) S. Rush, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his store in Rangataua.
(4) Mouat Bros., for permission to transfer one petrol pump at present situated in High Street, to a new position at their premises on the corner of Downer Street and High Street, Lower Hutt.
(5) A. Runciman, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his store in Pipiwai.
(6) C. Brooks, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his store at Niagara.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 23rd June, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.
