Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block X, Arnold Survey District, acquired for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was acquired for the purposes of the Midland Railway, and is not now required for such purpose), shall, upon publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land dealt with:- A. R. P. 0 0 36·2 0 0 17·8 Being portions of railway land. 0 0 10·9 Situated in Block X, Arnold Survey District (Westland R.D.). (S.O. 3353.) In the Westland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 96618, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of May, 1938. R. Leasehold Interest in Land in Block IV, Opawa Survey District, taken for the Purposes of a Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the estate of leasehold in the land described in the Schedule hereto held by Frederick Caswell from His Majesty the King under and by virtue of a lease registered in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 8730, is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight. SCHEDULE. APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the estate of leasehold is taken : 1 acre 0 roods 5·2 perches. Being portion of Lot 3, D.P. 9024, and being part Reserve 1213. Situated in Block IV, Opawa Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.P. 2493.) In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98718, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of May, 1938. R. A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.
