NEW BLENHEIM MOTORS, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a final meeting of creditors
in the above company will be held in the office of
F. Mogridge, High Street, Blenheim, on Friday, 3rd June,
1938, at 12 noon, for the purpose of receiving the liquidator’s
report and final account of the liquidation.

PURSUANT to section 7 of the River Boards Amendment
Act, 1913, I hereby give public notice that the following
candidates have been duly nominated as members of the
Waikiwi River Board :—
Robert Albert Anderson.
Frederick Thomas Blick.
William Duggan.
Archibald Frederick Waters.
As the number of candidates does not exceed the vacancies
to be filled, I hereby publicly declare the above candidates
duly elected members of the Waikiwi River Board.

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all
other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury
Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £13,200 authorized to be
raised by the North Canterbury Electric-power Board under
the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of carrying out
and paying for the work of electrical reticulation, erecting
mains, and providing materials and things necessary or
incidental to extending the Board’s electrical supply to those
portions of the Oxford and Eyre Counties recently gazetted
part of the Board’s Inner Area and fully described in the
New Zealand Gazette, 1930, number 30, page 1414, and
supplying such areas with electric energy and power and
exercising the powers conferred on the Board by Sections 118,
119, and 120 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the
said North Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound
on the capital value of all rateable property in the special-
rating area cited above ; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the 16th day of August in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of twenty-six years or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

In pursuance of section 20 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1926, the North Canterbury Electric-power Board for the
purpose of securing the special loan of £13,200 authorized to be
raised by the ratepayers of the special-rating area of the North
Canterbury Electric-power Board District at the poll taken
on the 17th day of January, 1931, and providing interest,
sinking fund, and other charges thereon, doth hereby appro-
priate and pledge all that the special rate of one halfpenny
in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in
the whole of the special-rating area of the North Canterbury
Electric-power Board District made and levied by the said
Board for the said purpose on the 21st day of April, 1931.
I, Llewellyn Blackwell Evans, Chairman of the North
Canterbury Electric-power Board, do hereby certify that the
above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North
Canterbury Electric-power Board held in Rangiora on the
21st day of April, 1931.

TARARUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY A SPECIAL RATE.

Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the
Rating Act, 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,
and any other Act enabling.
NOTICE is hereby given that for the purpose of providing
the interest and other charges in a loan of £40,000
authorized to be raised by a poll of ratepayers under the
above-mentioned Act or Acts for the purpose of distributing
electrical energy throughout the Constituent District of
Akitio County, by the erection of transmission lines, services,
sub-stations, the purchasing of all necessary materials, goods,
equipment, and plant, acquiring land and erecting buildings,
advances to consumers for installations, all engineering,
legal and clerical charges and contingencies, and generally
carrying out such works or undertakings as are authorized
by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its amendments,
the Tararua Electric-power Board, at the meeting called for
17th June, 1938, will make and levy a special rate of one penny
and one-tenth of a penny (1⅒d.) in the pound upon all
rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value)
in the County of Akitio, an that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable in the 14th day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
years or until the loan is fully paid off.
