OHOPE BEACH DOMAIN.—AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Whakatane County containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 26·4 perches, more or less, being part Lot 9 and Lots 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 on D.P. 22192, being a subdivision of part Allotment 246A No. 2, Waimana Parish, and being the residue of the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 606, folio 129, Auckland Registry. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 1/935A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Oparure Public Hall Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of May, 1938.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by Warrant dated the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, and published in Gazette of the seventeenth day of that month, permanently reserved for a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely,—
William Findlay,
George Smart, and
Edward John Jones,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Oparure Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Friday, the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, at one o’clock p.m., at Oparure Public Hall, and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business at the said hall on the second Friday in the months of March, June, September, and December, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.

The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days’ notice of any such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any two members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself without reasonable cause from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at the meeting.

The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Oparure and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 20 perches, more or less, being part Kinohaku East No. 1f No. 16 Block, and being all of the land on plan 26911, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/660A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Member appointed to Omatane Public Hall Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of May, 1938.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and published in the Gazette of the first day of October of that year, the control of Section 35, Block IV, Hautapu Survey District, in the Wellington Land District, a reserve for a site for a public hall, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Omatane Public Hall Board, in pursuance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:
And whereas it is desirable that Samuel Alan Smith, of Omatane, Utiku, should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of Leslie Arthur Bland, resigned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said
Samuel Alan Smith
to be a member of the Omatane Public Hall Board, constituted by the Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Leslie Arthur Bland, resigned.
