Defining the Middle-line of the Palmerston North Deviation (Whakarongo Section) of the Palmerston North–Woodville Branch of the Wellington–Napier Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the Palmerston North Deviation of the Palmerston North–Woodville Branch of the Wellington–Napier Railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto, and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within a distance of five chains from the said middle-line.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the Palmerston North deviation of the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway marked 6 miles 27·75 chains and proceeding thence in an easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 2 miles 26·3 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., parts Suburban Sections 1535, 1506, and 526, Township of Bunnythorpe; part Allotment 66 on D.P. 3270 and Allotment 67 of Rural Section 418, Allotments 64, 63, and 62 of Rural Section 417, part Allotment 57 and Allotments 58 and 59 of Rural Section 416, Allotment 48 and part Allotments 10 and 11 of Rural Section 415, and part Allotment 12 of Rural Section 414, Township of Palmerston: All situated in Blocks VII, VIII, and X, Kairanga Survey District; and terminating at a point on the Palmerston North–Woodville Branch of the Wellington–Napier Railway in the Whakarongo Station-yard marked 4 miles 23 chains; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 99085, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of May, 1938.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block IV, Mata Survey District, and Block XVI, Mangaoporo Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the No. 24 Gisborne–Te Araroa State Highway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Block IV, Mata Survey District, and Block XVI, Mangaoporo Survey District—viz., a deviation of the No. 24 Gisborne–Te Araroa State Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the existing No. 24 Gisborne–Te Araroa State Highway through Ngamoe A 6 Block, Block IV, Mata Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 37 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., part Ngamoe A 6, A 5, part A 4B, A 4A, part A 4B and A 3 Blocks, and terminating at a point on the northern boundary and 1 chain from the north-eastern corner of the said Ngamoe A 3 Block, Block XVI, Mangaoporo Survey District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Gisborne Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98880, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of May, 1938.
