IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting held on the 30th day of April, 1938, the following special resolution was passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that RAYMOND WILLIAM SNEDDON, of Wellington, Company Secretary, be appointed liquidator for such winding up.”
NOTE.—The business formerly carried on by the above company has been disposed of to the new company of Macduffs Limited.

QUEENSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Under the Public Works Act, 1928.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Queenstown Borough Council proposes to take the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of recreation grounds under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928.
A plan of the land proposed to be so taken is open for inspection at the Borough Council Chambers, Queenstown.
All persons affected by the taking of such land are called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the taking thereof, and to serve such writing upon the Queenstown Borough Council within forty days from the first publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land situated in the Town of Queenstown containing 5·26 poles, more or less, being Section 16, Block XV, on the public map of the said town.
All that piece of land situated in the Town of Queenstown containing 4·81 poles, more or less, being Section 17, Block XV, of the public map of the said town.

ELTHAM DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING GRADUATED SPECIAL RATES AS SECURITY FOR LOAN.
Redemption Loan No. 1, 1937.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Eltham Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £1,175 authorized to be raised by the Eltham Drainage Board by special order under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying off Loan No. 13 heretofore raised for the purpose of land drainage construction work within special rating area No. 13 of the Eltham Land Drainage District and which special rating area was constituted by resolution adopted by the Board at a duly convened special meeting held on the 8th December, 1926, and confirmed as a special order at a duly convened special meeting held on the 11th January, 1927, and recorded in the minutes of its proceedings of those dates at pages 444 and 447–448 respectively, the said Eltham Drainage Board hereby makes and levies the following annual recurring graduated special rates upon the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the said special rating area, namely—
“On Section 52, Block XI, a special rate of 92/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Section 31, Block XI, a special rate of 62/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Section 37, Block XV, a special rate of 38/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Section 49, Block XI, a special rate of 93/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Part 48, Block XI, a special rate of 26/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Part 48, Block XI, a special rate of 27/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Part 36, Block XV, a special rate of 56/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on Subsection 1 of 51, Block XI, a special rate of 29/100ths of 1d. in the pound; on 35 and 38, Subsection 1 of 36, Block XV, a special rate of 58/100ths of 1d. in the pound; and on Lot 2 of 51, Block XI, a special rate of 69/100ths of 1d. in the pound (all the said properties being situate in the Ngaere Survey District).
“And that such special rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly convened meeting of the Eltham Drainage Board held at Eltham on the 11th day of May, 1938.
