public road at the north-western corner of the said Section 20;
thence in an easterly direction across the last-mentioned
public road and along the northern boundary of the said
Section 20 and Section 21, Square 9, in the aforesaid block
and survey district, to and across a public road, and along
the northern boundary of the said Section 21 to the north-
eastern corner thereof; thence in a southerly direction along
the eastern boundary of Section 21 aforesaid to its inter-
section with the northern boundary of Section 70, Motueka,
in the aforesaid block and survey district; thence in an
easterly direction along the northern boundary of the said
Section 70 and Section 68, Motueka, in the aforesaid block
and survey district, to the north-eastern corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence in a southerly direction along the
western side of a public road forming the eastern boundary
of the said Section 68 and Section 66, Motueka, in the afore-
said block and survey district, to and across a public road,
and along the eastern boundary of the said Section 66 to the
intersection thereof with the north bank of the Riwaka
River; thence generally in an easterly direction along the
north bank of the Riwaka River to high-water mark of
Tasman Bay; thence generally in a southerly direction
along high-water mark of Tasman Bay to the point of
commencement: And that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

INCREASE IN SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waitomo
Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, principal, sinking fund, and other charges on the
loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorized to be
raised by the Waitomo Electric-power Board under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of providing for extensions
and additions to the existing reticulation system and other-
wise providing for the distribution of electrical energy
throughout the Waitomo Electric-power District, the Waitomo
Electric-power Board, pursuant to section 23 of the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to one halfpenny
in the pound the special rate of 32/88th of a penny in the pound
made and levied by resolution passed by the said Board on
the 16th day of September, 1935, and gazetted at page 2687
of the New Zealand Gazette on the 19th day of September,
1935, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo Electric-
power District, such rate of 32/88th of a penny in the pound
being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, principal,
sinking fund, and other charges on such loan, and that such
special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly
on the 1st day of November in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years
or until the loan is fully paid off."

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding
publication.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT OF IMPROVED SERVICE.

UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations
of general legislative force are no longer to be
published in the New Zealand Gazette, but will be supplied
under any one or more of the following arrangements:—

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription 30s. per annum in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
25s.
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1)
and (2) above, on combined subscription basis,
42s. per annum in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
(5) Loose-leaf binder for filing serial issues, 6s. 6d.

The price of each regulation will be printed thereon facili-
tating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now with
the Government Printer, Wellington, or at the Chief Post
Offices at Auckland, Christchurch, or Dunedin.
