Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph.

General Post Office,
Wellington, 14th April, 1938.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officer, at the address set against his name, is hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officer for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid :—

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Taking of Fish.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—

(1) D. McKay, for a license to take fish at Auckland by means of a 43 ft. 33 h.p. launch, using long and hand lines and suppling the Auckland market.

(2) T. Watson, for a license to take fish at Tasman Bay, Puponga, and Collingwood, by means of a 21 ft. 5 h.p. launch, using set-nets and long and hand lines, and supplying the Collingwood and Nelson markets.

(3) A. L. Clark, for a license to take fish at Dunedin by means of a 31 ft. 8 h.p. launch, using set and drag nets, hand-lines and trawling, and supplying the Dunedin market.

(4) R. Wallace, for a license to take fish at Lake Ellesmere by means of a 20½ ft. 5 h.p. launch, using set-nets, and supplying the Christchurch market.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 12th May, 1938.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—

(1) McRae Bros., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at their premises at Omahutu.

(2) C. W. Bridgen, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a proposed new service station at Tokaanu.

(3) The Palm Beach Transport Co., Ltd., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at Palm Beach, Waiheke Island.

(4) P. A. Griffiths, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his premises at Toho.

(5) N.Z. Highway Constructors, Ltd., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at the company’s premises at Logan’s Point, Dunedin.

(6) P. S. Campen, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at his premises in Alton Street, Nelson.

(7) E. B. Jones, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a proposed store at Te Kohanga.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 12th May, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.
