Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 200 acres, more or less, and being Section 46, Block IV, Umutoi Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 78/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of March, 1938.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District containing 821 acres 2 roods 32 perches, being Section 2901 and Crown land (Creeks), and situated in Block V, Kopara Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 126/64, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of March, 1938.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 4th day of April, 1938.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby extend the hour at which the poll for the election of members of the Mount Hutt Road Board, to be held on Wednesday, the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, shall close, to seven o’clock in the afternoon of the day appointed.

WHEREAS the Ashburton Borough Council failed, through misadventure, to give public notice, in the form numbered five in the First Schedule to the Rating Act, 1925, on or before the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, of its objection to the whole of the valuation list for the Borough of Ashburton as prepared and transmitted to the said Council in the month of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight (hereinafter referred to as “the said valuation list”):
