CROWN LANDS NOTICE.

Land in Gisborne Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Gisborne, 19th January, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on Thursday, 3rd March, 1938, at 11.30 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS SUBURBAN LAND.
Matakaoa County.—Awanui Suburbs.

SECTION 1: Area, 9 acres 2 roods 30 perches. Upset price, £49*.

Weighted with £5 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing.

This section was formerly the police-station site at Port Awanui, which is on the coast fifteen miles from Ruatoria. The area comprises a warm sheltered basin facing north-east.

  • Improvements included in purchase-price include felling and grassing (in fair order).

EVIDENCE of the loss of Lease in Perpetuity No. 1071 entered in Vol. 96, folio 46 (Auckland Registry), for that parcel of land being Section 10, Block II, Whangarei Survey District, whereof JAMES MAURICE CALLAGHAN, of Kiripaka, Baker, is the registered lessee, having been lodged with me together with an application for a provisional lease, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such provisional lease accordingly upon the expiration of fourteen days from the 20th day of January, 1938.
