Stocks of Flour, Wheat, and Oats.

A CENSUS of stocks of flour, wheat, and oats in the Dominion was taken as at the 30th November, 1937, when the following quantities were returned: Flour, 12,600 tons; wheat, 1,421,690 bushels (including 1,217,342 bushels of milling-wheat); and oats in grain, 1,242,290 bushels. Returns were received covering all stocks owned or stored by millers, merchants, and farmers throughout the Dominion, with a few unimportant exceptions which would not appreciably affect the totals given.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—

(1) The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at the company's store at 242 Moorehouse Avenue, Christchurch.

(2) Mr. H. McCarroll, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a butcher shop at Taipuha.

(3) Miss E. M. Atkinson, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at the “Bungalow,” Lake Rotoma, Rotorua.

(4) Mr. D. P. Patel, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a store at Parawera.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 6th January, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

Notice to Persons affected by Application for License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Taking of Fish.

I HEREBY give notice that an application has been received from A. G. White for a license to take fish at Wanganui by means of a 19 ft. 8 h.p. motor-boat using drag-nets and hand-lines and supplying the Wanganui market.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representation in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 6th January, 1938.
