And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on
the sixteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-five, and issued pursuant to section four hundred
and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and
declared the said roads to be public roads:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in
the public interest that the said roads should be proclaimed
as public roads, and a notification to that effect has been
forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four
hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said roads should
be proclaimed as public roads:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursu-
ance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four
hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do
hereby proclaim as public roads the roads described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of

Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road
in Block V, Te Kaha Survey District, Gisborne Land
District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto
traverses Native land and has been used by the
public as a public road:
And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made
on the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-five, and issued pursuant to section four hundred
and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and
declared the said road to be a public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it
is in the public interest that the said road should be
proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that
effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in
terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native
Land Act, 1931:

Amending the Constitution of a Special Board created for the
Purpose of controlling the Gates of the Kawarau Falls Dam.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
February, 1937.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section one hundred and ninety of the Reserves and
other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act,
1924, and of every other power and authority in anyway
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby revoke the appointment made under
his hand on the ninth day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-nine, as appears in the New Zealand
Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, at page 2446,
of Thomas Murdy Ball, Esquire, as a member of a special
Board for the purpose of determining when the gates of the
dam at Kawarau Falls, Lake Wakatipu, shall be opened and
closed; and doth hereby appoint Peter Keller, Esquire, as a
member of the said Board.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Hunterville,
Wellington Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
February, 1937.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is duly set apart for a site for County Council buildings:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reserva-
tion over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation
purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth
hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a site for County
Council buildings to a reserve for recreation purposes.
