DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership business
of Public Accountants hitherto carried on by WILLIAM
JOHN ALEXANDER THOMSON and WILLIAM JOHN RODGER at
National Bank Chambers, Auckland, under the style of
“Thomson and Rodger” has been this day dissolved, and
that Mr. Rodger is retiring from such business, and that
the said business will be carried on at the same address by
William John Alexander Thomson and his son Alan Duncan
Thomson, under the style of “Thomson and Rodger.”

IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders
of McArtney’s Limited, held on Monday, the 15th day
of November, 1937, it was resolved that the company be
wound up voluntarily, and that FRANK MOGRIDGE, of Blenheim, Accountant, be appointed liquidator for such winding
up.
All persons having claims against the above company are
required to furnish same duly certified to the undersigned
on or before the 15th day of December, 1937, otherwise they
are liable to be excluded from any dividend that may be
payable.

account laid before it, and of hearing any explanation which
may be given by the liquidators, and also of determining by
extraordinary resolution how the books and documents of

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
The Wellington City Mercer Street Land Purchase Loan, 1938.
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Wellington City Council held on the 25th day of
November, 1937 :—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts, powers, and
authorities it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City
Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a special loan of fifty-one thousand
pounds (£51,000) to be known as the Wellington City Mercer
Street Land Purchase Loan, 1938, authorized to be raised
by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of purchasing the land described in
subsection (6) of section 67 of the Local Legislation Act,
1928, from the Wellington Education Board, the said
Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of sixty-five sixteen-hundredths of a penny (⁶⁵⁄₁₀₀d.) in the
pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 1st day
of February, 1938, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, JOHN GUINIVEN, Mayor of the Borough of Takapuna,
do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of
subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest
Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution
was duly passed at a special meeting of the Takapuna Borough
Council on the 5th day of November, 1937, and that such
resolution was duly confirmed on the 24th day of November,
1937, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new
securities issued in respect of the loans specified in the First
Schedule to the Takapuna Borough Loans Conversion Order,
1937, as published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st
October, 1937, at page 2378.
