Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) The Rongokakako Co-operative Cheese Factory Co., Ltd., for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a cheese-factory at Rongokakako.
(2) Mrs. L. Roose, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a store at Thornton’s Bay, Thames Coast.
(3) Mr. Kere Wano, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a store at Poroporo.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 18th November, 1937. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

(2) McLean Motors, Limited, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit on the corner of Wairere Street and Clifton Road, Whakatane.
(3) J. S. Shaw, for permission to move four petrol pumps from the corner of Coronation and McIntyre Roads to a site on the corner of Coronation Road and Swanson Avenue, Mangere.
(4) J. Gilliand and Company, Limited, for permission to transfer four petrol pumps to a section adjoining the company’s premises in Waterloo Quay, Wellington, and install six additional pumps alongside.

(2) R. W. S. Harvey for a license to take fish at Pelorus Sounds, Picton, French Pass, and Nelson by means of a 28 ft. motor-launch using lines, set-nets, and set-lines.

Education Reserve in Southland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 3rd November, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 15th December, 1937, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.

Southland County.—Town of East Winton.

SECTION 11, Block VI: Area, 4 acres 1 rood 3 perches. Upset annual rental, £5.

Weighted with the sum of £25 for improvements, comprising 28 chains of road and boundary fencing, 3½ chains of open drain, and 3½ chains of tile drains.

This section is situated with a main road frontage close to Winton Township. The land is level and good, and good pasture is established. Fences of gorse and hawthorn have been well kept.

Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. Possession will be given on 1st January 1938.
  2. Six months’ rent at the rate offered, lease and registration fees (£2 2s.), and improvement loading must be paid immediately on the fall of the hammer.
  3. Term of lease—Twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal for further similar terms at rents on fresh valuations, under the provisions of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
  4. Rent payable half-yearly in advance.
  5. Lessee to maintain in good substantial repair all buildings, drains, and fences; to keep clear all creeks, drains, ditches, and watercourses; to trim all live hedges; and yield up all improvements in good repair and condition at the expiration of the lease.
