DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR CEMETERY.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Devonport Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, and the Cemeteries Act, 1908, and its amendments, to provide a suitable cemetery for the burial of the dead and for the purpose aforesaid the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby given that the plan of the said land required to be taken is deposited for public inspection (without fee) at the office of the Devonport Borough Council, Council Chambers, Marine Square, Devonport: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of such public work or by the taking of such land shall if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land set forth the same in writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Devonport Borough Council at the said Council Chambers, Devonport.

SCHEDULE.

24 acres 3 roods 29·7 perches, being portions of Allotments 49 and 50, Parish of Takapuna, situate in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District, and shown coloured pink on the said plan.

RESULT OF ELECTION OF MEMBER FOR WAIMAKARIRI WEST SUBDIVISION.

I, CHARLES WILLIAM HERVEY, Returning Officer for the Waimakariri River Trust, do hereby declare that at the election of a Commissioner held on the 7th day of October, 1937, the persons hereafter named were candidates and received the numbers of votes set opposite their names respectively:—

As William Francis McArthur received the largest number of votes, I hereby declare him duly elected as a Commissioner of the Waimakariri River Trust.
