BOROUGH OF OAMARU.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Foreshore Protection Loan, £5,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Borough of Oamaru hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorized to be raised by the Borough of Oamaru under the above-mentioned Act for foreshore protection, the said Borough of Oamaru hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-quarters of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Oamaru comprising the whole of the Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We certify that the above resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 30th day of September, 1937.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-book of The Te Awamutu Hotel, Limited, dated the 6th day of October, 1937, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of TUWHARETOA CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 8th day of October, 1937, presented to the said Court by Tuwharetoa Timber Company, Limited (in liquidation) a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, and having its registered office at Auckland, and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the said Court sitting at Auckland on the 29th day of October, 1937, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Wednesday, the 10th day of November, 1937, to the election of two registered pharmaceutical chemists of New Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, in the place of the members who retire on the 31st day of December, 1937, and who are eligible for re-election.

Members will require to be elected as follows: Two members for the Central District, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough.

The retiring members are James Charles Burberry, and Herbert James Stanley Rickard, who are eligible for re-election.

Nominations will close at the office of the Registrar, 59 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington, at 4 o’clock p.m., on Thursday, the 28th day of October, 1937.

Forms of nomination may be obtained on application to the Registrar.

NOTICE is hereby given that (the necessary Declaration of Solvency having been duly filed) the Tipapakuku Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, resolved by special resolution on the 5th day of October, 1937, “that the company be wound up voluntarily,” and by a further resolution appointed MR. SAMUEL THOMAS PAVIOUR-SMITH, of Dannevirke, Accountant and Secretary, to be liquidator of the company.
