The New Electoral Districts for the North Island.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the North Island Representation Commission, appointed under the provisions of the Electoral Act, 1927, have made their report to me under their hands and seals, setting forth the names and boundaries of the electoral districts for the North Island, fixed by them in accordance with the Electoral Act, 1927:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section twelve of the Electoral Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the names and boundaries of the electoral districts for the North Island, so fixed by the said Commission, to be those respectively mentioned and set out in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
BAY OF ISLANDS.
THIS district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the sea from the North Cape to Whananaki Inlet; thence by the middle of that inlet to a public road forming the northern boundary of Section 12, Block VIII, Opuawhanga Survey District; thence by the middle of that road, and the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 41, Block VII, Opuawhanga Survey District, to and by the access road to Section 34, Block VII aforesaid; thence by the northern and western boundaries of said Section 34, the northern boundary of Section 27 to its north-western corner; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 28, Block VII, Opuawhanga Survey District; thence by the western boundary of that section, the northern boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block XI, Opuawhanga Survey District, part of the eastern, the north-western and western boundaries of Section 3, Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District, the south-eastern and part of the south-western boundaries of Section 10, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section S.E. 38, Block XVI aforesaid, to the main road; thence towards the south-west generally by the main road
to the Whangarei—Otiira Railway line at the southern boundary of Section 2, Block XI, Hukerenui Survey District; thence by that railway to the Ngaruawahine Stream; thence by the middle of that stream to Tapuhi—Hukerenui Road; thence by that Road to the Whangarei—Kawakawa main road; thence by that road to the western boundary of Section 19, Block X, Hukerenui Survey District; thence by the western boundary of Section 19 and the northern boundaries of Sections 38, 49, and the Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve, Block X, Hukerenui Survey District, to its north-western corner; thence by the western boundaries of Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve and Sections 48 and 50, and the northern and western boundaries of Section 51, Block X aforesaid, to a public road; thence westerly and southerly along that road to the south-western corner of Section 32, Block IX, Hukerenui Survey District; thence by the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Section 31, and the southern boundary of Section 30 and the southern and western boundaries of Section 29 to the north-eastern corner of Section 23, Block IX aforesaid; thence by the northern boundary of Section 23, the western boundaries of Sections 23 and 24, Block IX aforesaid; thence by the northern and western boundaries of Section 13, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District, and by the northern boundaries of Mangakowhara and Kaikou No. 3 Blocks; thence by part of the western boundary of Kaikou No. 3 Block to the northern boundary of that part of Nukatawhiti Block, known as the middle part; thence by the northern boundary of said middle part and that boundary produced to the Awarua River; thence by that river to its confluence with the Mangakahia River; thence by that river to the easternmost corner of Aukumeroa No. 2 Block; thence by the north-eastern boundary of such block to the Mangakahia River; thence by that river to the easternmost corner of Section 3, Block XV, Punakitere Survey District; thence by the northern and western boundaries of said Section 3 to the Mangakahia River; thence by that river to and along the northern boundary of Block I, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the northern and western boundaries of Block IV, Waipoua Survey District, to and along the western boundary of Block VIII of the said Waipoua Survey District to the Waipoua River; thence by that river to the sea; and bounded towards the south-west and north by the sea to the North Cape, the place of commencement, and including all the adjacent islands.
