Notification of Commencement of the Trade Agreement between
New Zealand and Germany.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Trade Agreement (New Zealand and
Germany) Ratification Act, 1937, a certain trade
agreement, set out in Part I of the Appendix thereto, has
been ratified and confirmed :
And whereas by Article VII of the said trade agreement
it is provided that the same shall come into force on a date
to be agreed upon :
And whereas by section four of the said Act it is provided
that the date on which the said trade agreement is brought
into force shall be notified by the Governor-General by
Proclamation :
And whereas it has been agreed that the said trade agree-
ment shall come into force on the day hereinafter specified :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on me by
the said section, do hereby proclaim and notify that the
said agreement shall come into force on the twelfth day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of
October, 1937.
