Portion of Every Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of September, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, viz. :—

“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-western side of portion of Every Street abutting on Allotments 1, 2, 3, and 4, Township of Oakvale ” ;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-western side of the portion of Every Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE south-western side of all that portion of street situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Every Street, fronting Allotments 1 to 4 (inclusive), Township of Oakvale. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97065, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Portions of Streets (Kopata and Ariki Streets) in the Borough of Lower Hutt of a width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of September, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Lower Hutt Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the portions of proposed streets described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions of the said streets shown coloured red on the plan referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of streets.

SCHEDULE.

THOSE portions of proposed streets in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Lower Hutt, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 37·41 perches, more or less, being part Section 35, Hutt District, Block IX, Belmont Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 96837, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green and red.

Valuation of Land Act.—Assessor appointed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of September, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Mr. William Cunningham to be an Assessor for the Canterbury Land District.

Officers authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
