MARION BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Marton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :

"That for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,500 authorized to be raised by the
Marton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of redeeming the outstanding balance after the
operation of the accrued sinking fund in respect of the
£2,250 Gas Holder Loan maturing on 1st October, 1937, the
said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value
of all the rateable property in the whole of the Borough of
Marton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT for the purpose of complying with the requisitions
made by the Board of Health under section 22 (2) of the
Health Act, 1920, and in exercise of the powers conferred
upon it by section 24 (2) of the Health Act, 1920, the Local
Bodies Loans' Act, 1926, and all other powers it thereunto
enabling, an Order in Council in pursuance of section 29 of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), having been obtained,
authorizing the Council to borrow, the Manukau County
Council hereby resolves by way of special order—

"(1) To borrow the sum of four thousand pounds (£4,000)
for the purpose of providing sanitary conveniences and
dressing-sheds at various beaches within the county.

“(2) That for the purpose of providing interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on the said loan of four thousand
pounds (£4,000), the Manukau County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one sixty-fourth of a penny (sd.)
in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the

capital value) of all rateable property in the County of
Manukau, and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty-five years, at a rate of interest of £3 10s. per
centum per annum, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
September in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the said
loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Manukau
County Council held in the Council Chambers, Auckland, on
the 17th day of August, 1937.
