Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Borough of Blenheim, at Blenheim.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Picton–Hurunui Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Blenheim Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 30·78 perches. Portion of railway land (part Section 445 of 1 and 3, Ōmaka), Borough of Blenheim. (S.O. 1652/73.)

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4800, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of August, 1937.

Additional Land at Mount Eden taken for the Purposes of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway, and for Street-diversion in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway to take further land at Mount Eden in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway, and to take land for street-diversion in connection therewith:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

FOR RAILWAY.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 34·21 perches. Portion of street.

FOR STREET-DIVERSION.

Approximate area of the piece of land: 20·82 perches. Portion of railway land, Proclamation 500.

Situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, City of Auckland. (S.O. 29133, blue.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4795, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green and blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of August, 1937.
