NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, that, unless sufficient cause to the contrary is shown within three months from the date hereof, the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register.

CROWN LAND NOTICE.
Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 24th August, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 27th September, 1937.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 29th September, 1937, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and deposit in reduction of improvement loading.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Taumarunui County.—Ongarue Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for two years.*)
SECTION 7, Block X: Area, 391 acres 3 roods 27 perches. Capital value, £295; half-yearly rent, £5 18s.
Weighted with £400 for improvements, comprising dwelling of four rooms (in poor condition), wool-shed, cow-shed and yards, clearing and grassing, subdivisional fencing, half-share in boundary-fencing, road-boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £25, the balance (£375) may remain on mortgage to the Lands and Survey Department payable in the case of a New Zealand discharged soldier over a period of thirty-six years and a half by instalments of principal and interest (5 per cent.) combined amounting to £11 5s. each half-year, and in the case of a civilian over a period of thirty-four years and a half by instalments of principal and interest (5½ per cent.) combined amounting to £12 3s. 9d. per half-year; exempt from interest payments for a period of two years.
A grazing property situated in Okauaka Road nine miles from Waimiha Post-office, School, Railway-station, and cream-collection depot; access by metalled road. Undulating to hilly and broken country, approximately 122 acres in worn-out pasture, 4 acres fallow, 266 acres in natural state of standing bush. Badly infested with ragwort which requires immediate attention.
- After payment of the required deposit no rent and no mortgage interest payments will be charged for a period of two years.
