that the basis on which the Board to be established for the
said district shall first levy its general rate shall be on the
basis of the acreage of the rateable property in the said
district.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, being part
of the Invercargill, Lothian, Oteramika, and Mabel Hundreds,
and bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of
the Invercargill-Dunedin Main Highway and McKerchar
Road; thence in a northerly direction along the said McKer-
char Road to Trotter Road; thence north-easterly along the
said Trotter Road to the Grove Bush—Woodlands Road;
then ce north-westerly along the said Grove Bush—Woodlands
Road to Angle Road; thence again north-easterly along
the said Angle Road to the Rakahouka—Dacre Road; thence
easterly along the said Rakahouka—Dacre Road to Woodstock
Road; thence southerly along the said Woodstock Road to
the aforementioned Invercargill—Dunedin Main Highway;
then ce generally easterly along the said Invercargill—Dunedin
Main Highway to Moore’s Road; thence south-westerly
along the said Moore’s Road to the Invercargill—Dunedin
Railway line; thence again north-easterly along the said
Invercargill—Dunedin Railway line to Swain’s Road; thence
southerly and south-westerly along the said Swain’s Road to
the northern boundary of Lot 242, D.P. 158; thence westerly,
southerly, and easterly along the northern, western, and
southern boundaries of the said Lot 242 to a point in line
with the western boundary of Section 9, Block XI, Oteramika
Hundred; thence southerly along a closed road intersecting
Lot 1, D.P. 153, and forming the said western boundary of
Section 9 aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the continu-
ation of the aforesaid closed road forming the northern
boundaries of Lots 10 and 11, D.P. 153, to its intersection
with another closed road intersecting Lots 8 and 7, D.P. 153;
thence westerly generally along the last-mentioned closed
road through Lots 8, 7, 6, 12, 13, 42, 43, and 44, and along
the northern boundary of Lot 44, D.P. 153, to the Waituna
School—Morton Mains Road; thence again north-easterly
along the said Waituna School—Morton Mains Road to the
Woodlands—Morton Mains Highway; thence again westerly
along the said Woodlands—Morton Mains Highway to Clark
and Walker’s Road; thence again southerly along the said
Clark and Walker’s Road, and again westerly generally
along Oteramika Road, and again northerly along the Wood-
lands South Road to the Waihopai River; thence again
westerly along the said Waihopai River to Evans Road;
thence again northerly by the said Evans Road to the
Invercargill—Dunedin Main Highway, and thence again
south-westerly along the said Invercargill—Dunedin Main
Highway to the point of commencement.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Punakaiki
Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
August, 1937.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby appoint
William Charles Fischer,
John Fitzsimons,
Percy Bridger,
Thomas Neil Mouat, and
Frederick Edward Roud
to be the Punakaiki Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Saturday, the eleventh day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, at seven-thirty
o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Punakaiki School
as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be
held.
SCHEDULE.
PUNAKAIKI DOMAIN.—WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 1001, Town of Punakaiki, and Reserve 1500, Block
I, Punakaiki Survey District: Area, 7 acres 1 rood 31 perches,

Authorizing the Borrowing by the Wanganui Hospital Board
by way of Hypothecation of Debentures issued in respect of
Loans of £725 and £15,275.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
August, 1937.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by Orders in Council made on the eighteenth
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-
seven, and the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-seven, respectively, consent was given
to the raising by the Wanganui Hospital Board (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) of the respective sums of
seven hundred and twenty-five pounds (£725) and fifteen
thousand two hundred and seventy-five pounds (£15,275)
by loans to be known as “Capital Expenditure Loan, 1937,”
and “Capital Expenditure Loan No. 2, 1937,” respectively
(hereinafter called “the said loans”), such consents being
given subject to the determinations as to borrowing and
repayment therein set out in each case, including, inter alia,
the provision that the rate of interest that might be paid in
respect of the said loans or any parts thereof should be such
as should not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates
exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum
per annum:
And whereas the said local authority pending the raising of
the said loans in accordance with the said determinations is
desirous of borrowing the said amounts or parts thereof by
hypothecation or mortgage pursuant to section thirty-four
of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, of the debentures
authorized to be issued in respect of the said loans:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section seven of the Local Authorities
Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and
of section eight of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction
and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1933, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the said local authority, pending the
raising of the said loans in accordance with the said deter-
minations, borrowing the said sums of seven hundred and
twenty-five pounds (£725) and fifteen thousand two hundred
and seventy-five pounds (£15,275) or any parts thereof by
the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures at a
rate of interest not exceeding four pounds ten shillings
(£4 10s.) per centum per annum, and hereby prescribes that
the said local authority shall, before the said loans or any
portions thereof are borrowed by way of hypothecation
pursuant to the authority of this Order in Council, establish
sinking funds and shall thereafter make payments to such
sinking funds in accordance with the terms of clause three of
the aforesaid respective Orders in Council of the eighteenth
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven,
and the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-seven, and in all respects as if such borrowing of
the said sums of seven hundred and twenty-five pounds
(£725) and fifteen thousand two hundred and seventy-five
pounds (£15,275) or any parts thereof by way of hypothe-
cation were the raising of loans within the meaning of the
said respective clauses.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fifteenth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-
seven, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the
raising in New Zealand by the Westland Hospital Board
(hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of the sum of
ten thousand pounds (£10,000) by a loan to be known as
“Alterations and Additions Loan, 1937” (hereinafter called
“the said loan”):
