RAILWAY DEPARTMENT CLASSIFICATION, 1937.

NOTE.—Consequent upon the introduction into the Railways Department of a shorter working-week as from 1st September, 1936, employees named herein who are paid at a daily or hourly rate shall be entitled to payment at the following increased rates (in lieu of the rates specified herein), that is to say: An increase of 10 per centum where the ordinary hours of duty of the class of employees immediately prior to 1st September, 1936, were 44 per week, and an increase of 20 per centum where the ordinary hours of duty of the class of employees immediately prior to 1st September, 1936, were 48, 56, or 60 per week.
