THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND TRUSTS AMENDMENT BILL, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in the ensuing session by Herbert Edgar Evans and Ernest Frederic Hadfield, of Wellington, Barristers and Solicitors, and John Newton Stephenson, of Nelson, Diocesan Secretary (hereinafter called “the promoters”), for leave to bring in a Private Bill the short title of which is as above to effect the following objects and purposes, viz. :
- To amend section eight of the Church of England Trusts Act, 1913, by adding a proviso to the following effect, viz. :
“Provided further that notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained any authority required to be given by such Diocesan Synod to any sale, exchange, or mortgage may be given by such Diocesan Synod itself, or if the Diocesan Synod be not in session, by the Standing Committee of such Diocese.”
Printed copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited in the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Parliament House, Wellington, not later than fourteen days after the commencement of the session. Printed copies of the proposed Bill are also deposited at the Diocesan Office of each diocese of the Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of England, viz., 40 Shortland Street, Auckland, 15 Victoria Street, Hamilton, Browning Street, Napier, 20 Mulgrave Street, Wellington, 4 Sussex Street, Nelson, 173 Cashel Street, Christchurch, and 168 Stuart Street, Dunedin, and the copies may now be inspected by all persons at those offices.

THE WELLINGTON DIOCESAN BOARD OF TRUSTEES (CHURCH OF ENGLAND) EMPOWERING ACT, 1937.
NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand in the ensuing session by Herbert Edgar Evans and Ernest Frederic Hadfield, of Wellington, Solicitors, and William Haydon Maclean, Barrister and Solicitor, Taihape (hereinafter called “the promoters”), for leave to bring in a Private Bill the short title of which is as above to effect the following objects and purposes, viz. :
To authorize the Wellington Diocesan Board of Trustees (Church of England) to amalgamate investments consisting of mortgages of land, Government Inscribed Stock and Bonds, and local bodies’ debentures held by it, and future investments of the same nature to be hereafter held by it, in one investment fund, and also to deal with the income derived from the securities so amalgamated in one, Amalgamated Mortgages and Securities Investment Fund Income Account.
Printed copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited in the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders at Parliament House, Wellington, not later than fourteen days after the commencement of the session. A printed copy will also be posted at the Diocesan Office, Mulgrave Street, Wellington, before such last-mentioned date.

SAILS AND COVERS, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of SAILS AND COVERS, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that by entries in its minute-book the above-named company on the 21st day of July, 1937, passed the following resolutions, viz. :

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“That Mr. CHARLES ARCHIBALD DEUXBERRY, of 62A Ranfurly Road East, Epsom, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
Creditors are required to forward particulars of their claims to the liquidator, care of Messrs. John Burns and Co., Limited, Customs Street East, Auckland, C. 1.

TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (to be known as “Extension Loan, 1937”) authorized to be raised by the Taranaki Electric-power Board by special order under section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of providing additional moneys for the further reticulation of (a) its original district as defined in New Zealand Gazette Supplement No. 40 of 18th May, 1922, at page 1374 ; (b) the Stratford County Extension Special-rating Area as defined in New Zealand Gazette No. 31 of 20th May, 1926 ; (c) the Clifton County Special-rating Area No. 1 of Board’s district, as constituted by resolution passed on the 23rd March, 1934, and recorded in the minutes of the proceedings of the Board, at pages 1615 and 1616 ; and (d) the Clifton County Special-rating Area No. 2 of Board’s district, as constituted by resolution passed on the 21st February, 1936, and recorded in the minutes of the proceedings of the Board, at pages 1907 and 1908 (such respective areas being hereinafter collectively referred to as “the rating area”), the said Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 31/1,000th of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the said rating area, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above resolution was adopted by the Taranaki Electric-power Board at a duly convened meeting held on the 19th day of July, 1937.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that J. E. BLAKE and P. A. STRAWBRIDGE, who have been carrying on business in Feilding as Motor Engineers, have dissolved partnership as from the 1st July, 1937.
The business will be carried on in the same premises by Mr. P. A. Strawbridge under the name of “Blake and Strawbridge” as heretofore.
